PG II 25 Pump tower SlurryMaster 8000
PG II slurry tankers have been developed for the professional users of slurry application equipment, who have vigorous requirements for the capacity, efficiency, durability and reliability of the machines, but also for their ease of use and maintenance The PG II series offers many new exciting features designed to take it many years into the future.
The slurrytanker is modular build, and has a long option list. This makes it possible for you to configurate your own slurrytanker for your specific needs. Should your needs change after you have bought the slurrytanker it is possible to retrofit many of the options.
The PG II slurry tankers have a very simple but robust construction. An optional extra is hydraulic suspension on the drawbar that can absorb the shocks that propagate to the tanker from the tractor. The tank is placed horizontally on two through-going strong profiles. The tank is also supplied with three anti-surge partitions for improved stability, even when carrying smaller loads. This type of construction gives a very strong and stable tanker that allows for a faster drive both in the field and on the road and in this way makes the application of slurry easier and faster.

The pump tower is telescopic with two extensions and a filling pump mounted on the end. Two moving joints provide great flexibility and make the pump tower very easy and quick to operate.
Optional work lights and a camera can be fitted to improve visibility and provide good ergonomics, making it easier for the user to operate the pump tower.
In addition, the pump tower can be equipped with automatic return functionality to ensure fast and accurate parking after filling.
SlurryMaster 8000 - Control without compromise
SlurryMaster 8000 is an easily operated system with an intuitive and userfriendly interface that ensures safe operation of the slurry tanker. The system is an autonomous system designed solely for the operation of a slurry tanker and therefore no compromises has been made which would have been the case if a more generally platform had been used. The system is a further development of the familiar SlurryMaster 6000 operating system.
Touchscreen
All displays/controls take place via a 10” high-resolution colour touchscreen which has been designed to require a minimum number of input steps in order to navigate in the system. The screen is based on standard PC technology. This future-proofs the investment since the system can easily be adjusted to the demands of tomorrow.
Implements
It is possible for the computer to store settings for up to 10 different implements. Each implement can be named and settings adjusted as required. The first time an implement is attached, the computer automatically runs a list of setup options. When the settings have been saved, they can be used the next time the implement is used. This reduces the time spent on changing implements.
Joystick
The essential functions for operating the loading systems and appliances are controlled via a newly developed and ergonomically designed joystick. The surface of the joystick is coated with silicone. All buttons have a back light and give a distinctive click when pressed. There is a hand rest on the pad and a firm grip for the buttons to ensure safe operation even when driving on rough surfaces.
Help screen for joystick
A single touch on the joystick icon at the top of the screen produces a list of the features which are available at the time of operation. The system is structured so that it will only show the functions that the machine is equipped with.
Customer jobs
The system can save up to 18 different jobs and has one seasonal counter. Data such as customer name, driver name, field number, etc., are logged for each job; this information can later form the basis for customer invoicing. When the job is completed, data can be saved onto a USB stick in Excel format or it can be printed out. Eventually, a customer database can be set up and various statistical analyses performed.
Service and troubleshooting tools
The system is fitted with several tools that make servicing and troubleshooting very easy. These include an error log that enables the localisation of periodic faults. This means that your authorized mechanic will identify the error more quickly and can make the machine running again.
Wheels are mounted on specially designed, strong BPW axles with integrated speed sensor as standard. The brakes (410x180 mm is the standard) are dimensioned to comply with even the strictest legal requirements. The large 15-degree steering angle of the axles combined with the compact 900 mm wide chassis results in a very manoeuvrable slurry tanker. This reduces the damage to plants while driving in the field and the wear on tyres when driving on the road. The new steering system on the axles consists of a minimum of moving parts which results in fewer lubrication points and less maintenance.
An adjustable drawbar with hydraulic suspension is an optional extra for the 2-axle PG II slurry tanker. The drawbar absorbs shocks from both tractor and trailer, giving a more even ride. It also increases the lifespan of the slurry tanker since it reduces the stress on the chassis.
The height of the drawbar can be adjusted to ensure that the coupling between tractor and trailer is optimal at all times.
When the slurry tanker is being filled the drawbar can be adjusted to ensure the tank remains in a horizontal position, thus allowing it to be fully filled. For emptying, the front end can be lowered to improve the flow to the pump at the front.
An integrated hydraulic jack on the drawbar makes for easy hitching and unhitching when the tanker is parked.
The tanker’s implement carrying properties are ensured by the three-point hitch.
The lifting capacity of the three-point hitch will meet all future requirements for larger and heavier implements.
Increased lifting height provides optimal ground clearance between the implement and ground surface both during transport and in the field. For example, this makes it easier to enter and exit fields without the implements hitting the ground.
SAMSON's three-point hitch is welded to the actual chassis structure. This avoids the need to retighten the lift. It is a more stable and sturdy construction.
With automatic tyre pressure regulation, the user can set a desired tyre pressure when driving from one surface type to another. It can also be set according to the soil and crop type. This way you can minimise pressure and driving damage.
Tyre pressure regulation is available as a 1 or 2 circuit system with a compressor output from 2,000 to 4,000 l/min.
It is possible to purchase push-pull hydraulic couplings as an optional extra, whereby hydraulic hoses can be removed or attached by a simple push-pull mechanism. There is space on the tanker for 14 couplings that are numbered to avoid errors when connecting hoses. The couplings have been turned 45 degrees towards the ground to avoid sharp bends in the hoses.
The ISOBUS compatible SAMSON Section Control (TC-SC) makes it possible to do automatic section control of implements based on GPS position.
The function secures that overlapping and overdosing of slurry is avoided in i.e wedges and that plants benefit fully of the nutrients in the slurry.
Section Control can handle four sections on SAMSON SHB4 drip hose booms and up to two sections on other implements.
With the ISOBUS “Variable Rate Application” functionality the user is able to apply natural fertilizers via an automated process in conjunction with an ISOBUS compatible GPS system.
An assessment of the optimal fertilization strategy can be carried out easily using yield maps from previous years or by using the NDVI vegetation index, which is usually available via satellite or drone imagery. The result of this is an application map, which controls the application volume via the tractor’s GPS system and the SAMSON control system.
This increases the yield potential because of more efficient fertilization, but it also has environmental benefits by reducing local overfertilization and applying nutrients depending on the absorption potential of the soil as well as the plants.
SAMSON Remote Support ensures faster and easier support in the field and minimum down time.
With SAMSON Remote Support it is possible for service technicians to establish immediate online contact to slurry tankers worldwide using SlurryMaster 8000.
Without delay direct contact can also be established between the technician working on the machine locally to technical specialists in Danish-based SAMSON headquarters.
