October 2019 - AGRITECHNICA 2019 - SAMSON GROUP expands Smart Farming applications range

A few weeks ago, SAMSON AGRO A/S was awarded with a silver medal for their new NPK Sensor offering real time measurements of NPK in slurry based on NMR technology.

The company is now ready to reveal further information about SAMSON and PICHON news included in this year’s AGRITECHNICA news list.

Control your natural fertilizer application

Fully in line with AGRITECHNICA’s theme 2019 "Global Farming - Local Responsibility", SAMSON GROUP presents new features optimizing slurry and muck distribution with less impact on the environment.

For the first time SAMSON and PICHON, both part of SAMSON GROUP A/S, present their innovative news together on a joint stand.

SAMSON Section Control

The new ISOBUS compatible SAMSON Section Control (TC-SC) integrated in the SAMSON PG II slurry tanker control system, SlurryMaster 8000, makes it possible to do automatic section control of implements based on GPS position. The function secures that overlapping and overdosing of slurry is avoided in i.e wedges and that plants benefit fully of the nutrients in the slurry.

Section Control can handle four sections on SAMSON SHB4 drip hose booms and up to two sections on other implements.

SAMSON Variable Rate Application

The ISOBUS compatible task controller SAMSON Variable Rate Application (VRA/TC-GEO) is available for both SlurryMaster 8000 and muck and universal spreader control system, SpreadMaster 8500. The new functionality allows variable rate application of natural fertilizers based on mapping. It thereby makes sure that nutrients are applied precisely - beneficial to the environment and crop yield.

SAMSON Remote Support

SAMSON Remote Support ensures faster and easier support in the field and minimum down time.

With SAMSON Remote Support it is possible for service technicians to establish immediate online

contact to slurry tankers worldwide using SlurryMaster 8000.

Without delay direct contact can also be established between the technician working on the machine locally to technical specialists in Danish-based SAMSON headquarters.

“SAMSON users can already benefit from the safety that the new Remote Support function offers. Since July 1, 2019, it is integrated in all new SAMSON PG II slurry tankers with SlurryMaster 8000. The first year of Remote Support is included, following years will be according to payment plan” says Torben Larsen, Head of Sales at SAMSON GROUP A/S.

SAMSON Section Control and Variable Rate Application are available as a pre-series for SlurryMaster 8000 for the coming season, while Variable Rate Application is already fully implemented in all SpreadMaster 8500 control systems for FLEX II and US. But this is not all:

“We are excited to reveal further news being presented at AGRITECHNICA 2019 – both regarding new control system features and news in our machinery portfolio.” Torben Larsen ends.

PICHON: new control system

PICHON doesn't hold back either, as they have big news in their control systems portfolio. They introduce a new control system for slurry tankers. The architecture of the new control system has been completely modified in order to be flexible and offer capabilities for the future.

Among other things, it will bring intuitive HMI solution, automation, better maintenance capabilities, and better performance. To the user it provides a better experience, a quick support and better availabilities of spare parts.

“The new control system is an important step for us entering the precision farming era.” says Frederic Gobin, Head of Sales at PICHON.

First joint SAMSON-PICHON stand

All SAMSON and PICHON news will be available for a closer look in hall 23, stand A35. This is the first time ever that SAMSON and PICHON present themselves on a joint stand at an international trade fair - at a booth bigger than ever before.
